Not me Aunty, When it was my girls it was northern mite.

Cotton cockerel, yours looks like northern mite too.

I use Diatom earth, but it is really only for mild attacks. 

You really need to clean your hen house out thoroughly and kill any critters living in the cracks, change the bedding and nest box materials and dust your girls regularly to prevent re-infestation.  it's not a one time soloution as new mites will be born in a few days and they need to be killed too, and new lice can be brought in from wild birds.

you could also try the Johnsons extra spray, apprantely very effective, i use it on my girls.   nickyx

   glad i'm not the only one to be covered in lice!! the ones my hens had looked similar to human head lice, slightly bigger though!! oh the joys of keeping chickens lol!!
