Wouldnt the award for to strawberries? a small pack can cost £2 and a pack of seeds costs next to nothing, some chicken pellets and you have an endless supply, enough for summer and autum

Self blanching celery for me.  One packet of seeds to last a couple of years and larger than supermarket bunches of celery.

Strawberries as well if including fruit, started with 6 plants 3 years ago now have 70 ish.  Already picked just over 3lb and probably at least another 6 lb to go.  Yummie smoothies.
