Title: Still time to sow and grow dwarf French beans?
Post by: Goosegirl on July 17, 2014, 15:37
As the title says, and with this current and hopefully continuing warm weather, can I sow some more to plant in my GH?

I tried sowing some in modules about a month ago, albeit in the spare room pre-GH, and they came to nothing. I sowed some climbers last weekend directly into the plot so we'll see what happens with those!

I sowed a row of dwarf French beans last week, and they were up yesterday when I went to the plot. I'm going to try putting one runner bean seed in beside each of the runners that are already up the sticks to see if I can extend the picking season. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

depends when we get a first frost i guess. how knows when that will be with the seasons the way they have been.

it's prob worth the gamble, worst case you'll waste a little bit of space and a few seeds,
