North East Vet

I live in the North Tyneside area. I have struggled to find a vet that takes chickens and have had to use The Chicken Vet - but at 77p per minute for a phone call it seems a bit steep.
Does anyone know of a chicken vet up here in the Newcastle / North Tyneside area?
