Title: Plastic Seams
Post by: mrs bouquet on November 17, 2019, 11:48
A few days ago, I was wearing an old T.Shirt, and it was irritating around my shoulders.    I took it off to see why and noticed that the seams were reinforced with a small plastic strip.!!!!!  I have no doubt that the garment was made around the pacific rim, and done to strengthen it, or something.
That is not very friendly, and I shall always look carefully in the future.     Has anybody else noticed this ?    Mrs Bouquet

No, but I hate those little ribbons they put on the side of the neck to hang the jumper up.

Goosegirl I always cut them out and any plain ones I keep.
They are useful for tying up little bags of biscuits etc for charity/school fairs.

Hello I have 3T shirts with them in I tried wearing one inside out doesn't look right  can't even cut them out as T shirt falls to bits they were bought as Christmas presents so my mother stitched a piece of material over the seam it stops the rubbing  jezza
