recipe for rice milk
« on: December 30, 2008, 23:32 »
Friends just given me this recipe, they allergic to dairy. This rice milk can be used in cooking and just for drinking.

rice milk recipe:-

  1 pint of water
1/2 cup uncooked rice either colour, black rice is dupposed to be really bitter.
  1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cook rice,  extract and water until very soft.
Let cool, put mixture into blender or food processor.
 Blend until very smooth.
Let stand for at least 45 minutes, then strain through cheese cloth.

If too thick just add water to it, it will make it thinner.
If too bitter add a bit of sugar to it whilst cooking or honey afterwards.
