Title: They're laying again!

A short break this winter due to the weather I guess, but they went through a full moult in December.  All back laying as of today, yippee!

I bet it's because the sun has peeked out now and again. Ours have been hit and miss and moulting but with the odd bit of sunlight we are back to two a day again. :)

Three hens started laying now up in the wet and cold  north. This is the first in 5 years of keeping hens that i had to buy eggs.

Four out of my five have been laying right over winter - usually getting between one and three eggs a day.  Maybe it is so wet and squelchy underfoot they have preferred to be inside rather than out!
