We have mains water in water trouighs for our 240 plot site. I`m not sure how it`s paid for but all I pay is £11.50 for my plot annually.
Hosepipes are banned, so it`s just luck how far we have to carry watering cans, luckily I only have to walk twenty yards from the end of my plot.
Just about everyone that has a shed or greenhouse catches the rain into a butt, but as I have neither I can only catch it in my wheelbarrow.
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

Every little helps. The wheelbarrow thing is very easy but shouldn't be underestimated. Easy to unload too  :)

We are very good at saving water at home as we are on a meter. Last six monthly bill we were down to 27 cubic metres for a two person household plus visitors.
We only shower and I have a three gallon bucket in there to catch the cold water before it becomes hot, much to my wife`s annoyance.
All the rainwater from our 11ft x 11ft conservatory roof goes in a 200 litre butt and when rain is forecast I  empty it into three other containers holding a total of 500 litres. I`ve never had to resort to using mains for the tubs and hanging baskets.

Why not catch all the water "overspill".......it won't stay hot for very long :)
