Coldframe bargain

For those of not particularly handy with hammers and stuff, B&Q have reduced their coldframe from just under £20 to just under £15. They are of galvanised/ polycarbonate construction and not particularly sturdy, but cheaper than any others budget ones I've seen and I guess if space is an issue, they have the advantage that you can disassemble them and box them up until needed again.

Should add that they have a range of gardening tools at £1 an item. The functional but no frills secateurs seemed aparticularly good buy.

And no, I don't work for the orange logo, big box company!

I had a huge stroke of luck the other day. Just as I was leaving my allotment a car pulled up and the driver asked if I had any use for a cold frame, brand new, still in original box. I asked how much he wanted for it and he said, I don't want anytrhing, I've had it for some time and never got round to using it and just want to get rid of it. I thought, this man must have dropped straight out of heaven. I took the cold frame, we said our good byes and away he went. Thank you Mr Stranger you'r a star!

Just been in and its definitely still on. In Manchester at least.

I put mine up this morning and its actually reasonably sturdy (for polycarb, at least) - it certainly won't stand up to a small child falling on it, but it is fit for purpose and I'm pretty pleased for the price.
