We have just bought some more hybrids and so to help them mix we put them in a new area in a new house with a 6 foot  fence.
All day yesterday they were jumping the 4ft gap from the top of  their house to the fence and runnjng up and laying their eggs  in their old house, running back down and waiting by the fence -must move the house over -  how far can a chicken jump?

Always a bit further than you think!! 
my blackrock can jump a 5ft fence no trouble if she needs to, and that is with 1 wing clipped!  :blink: fortunatley she only does that to evade caption for medicine!!
