asked my OH to buy some bedding and flowering plants on saturday and she came back with regular few and two sunflower pots £4 each  . cant believe how much money she has.
Anyway the pots are drying mad, yesterday evening they looked sorry so i put them in a tray of water and they couldnt suck it in at all. I watered them from top and all the water seeped down straightaway. did this 5 time to make it reasonable moist and let it in the garage for goodnight sleep. Cant pot them untill weekend. how can I maintain the moist in them?

If you've now got them moist, you shouldn't have a problem.

It's when the compost gets really dry that the water just runs straight through.

If it's still dry, plunge them in a bucket of water, rather than just a tray.
