There are white maggots around 5mm in size at the top of my compost bin. Are they bad? Should I do anything to it?

Are they all white or do they have a brown head?

Could ve vine weevil grubs if they do and thats bad

Any chance of a piccie?

I think they were all white. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow if the rain lets up a bit.

have you or anyone put meat or fish scraps in there ,,, they will get maggoty friends going  :wink: to get rid of the other nasties ! "drown em " or put some black plastic over the top of the compost bin and cook em  :wink:
