I have two in pots about 30 inches apart.  The darker blue one has about 6 or 7 buds, but some of the leaves are going brown from the top down, but just one side of the strap until it all goes.  ??  Thanks  Mrs Bouquet

It's hard to keep them watered and fed in this weather, mine are struggling in compost - the ones in the ground are doing better this year.  Give them a good soak, with a liquid feed/or seaweed in it if you have either.

Thanks for your reply, I can always rely on you for Agapanthus help.    I must admit I didn't think they liked too much water so I have been being scant.  Tomorrow I shall thoroughly soak them for a time in a bucket and give them a good dose of Miracle Grow.     regards,  Mrs B
