Mac and Cheese last night - it was as interesting as it sounds  ::) Probably should be a rice day depending on what's missing from the shopping delivery, might be a curry if there's any chicken.

Lasagne and it is already made and sat in the fridge ready to cook later.

An afternoon of mucking about on the plot and making the most of the weather was higher on my priority list, but best to have some tea in waiting to stave off plaintive whinging from OH

Yesterday was chicken stew! Hubby idea & creation  too hot for stew which in reality was potatoes, chicken, bit of onion in gravy oh & baked beans & a token carrot- there were parsnips in the freezer, & in the fridge -peppers,celery, courgettes, various fresh beans, tomatoes
Tonight it’s burger & chips, salad for me, bread bun for him :D maybe coleslaw if I can be bothered & possibly melted cheese

Tonight it's a large jacket potato, with a pizza-style topping (HG toms, onions and peppers) plus plenty of cheddar. Also a large serving of French beans in vinaigrette on the side  8)

Smoked haddock and mash as we decided something plain would be a good idea as our stomachs have finally settled down after the weekend's upsets.  We have apologised to the Chinese takeaway as we drove    past as we found out yesterday that a stomach bug has been doing the rounds over the weekend in Freshwater where our shop is.

A Twongo's ready-made curry, but for one, so we can add all the bits like banana, peanuts, tomatoes and cuces, plus a couple of poppadoms each!

Ran out of steam yesterday after I did the rice. Either chilli in the slow cooker today or if I can find the energy I do fancy some hm lasagne  :tongue2:.  More missing than delivered on yesterdays shopping so things are going to get creative towards the end of the week  ::)

Sticking with basics still, jacket potatoes with whatever you fancy and can find in the fridge to go with.

Fish pie with the first of the sowing of parsley for the winter, so much tastier than the supermarket pots. With great beans & carrots.

I put a fresh loaf on this morning and I have some nice thick slices of black pudding.   :tongue2:  I'll eat something green to make up for it tomorrow  :nowink:

My neighbour picked up packets of Molino type 00 flour (marked down to a silly price) which was shared - so I'm making pizza bases today... will top one for tea, the rest can go in the freezer.  :) Though I'm fast running out of room, what with the beans finally producing  ::)

Salmon and cuce s/w, with a couple of toms for colour...

There's also some caviar in the fridge, as Mrs Growster was feeling a bit low recently, so I bought her a tiny jar for a squillion splonders (arm and a leg to everyone), and after a gap of around thirty years, she's decided she doesn't like it now, so I'll have the most expensive sandwich outside of Oxford Street!

I don't really mind of course...
