What veg have you started on?
« on: March 27, 2008, 16:50 »
The weather has been so bad that I've not put anything in the ground yet.
My first earlies are really chitting away in my spare room. This weekend the weather doesn't look like it's going to improve.

I was wondering have any of you started planting yet?

All I have managed to put in are the seeds for parsnips, carrots, swiss chard, spinach and my onion sets.   :(  :(

First earlies are chitting nicely in the kitchen and window sills are covered in sweet corn, toms, squash, pumpkin and leeks.

can't wait till it gets warmer

I've got on the plot: first earlies in sacks and a row, onion, garlic, perpetual spinach (that I'm getting bored with), peas, broad beans, last years strawberry plants in tyres, kale that I had to plant as it was in seed trays that someone left, carrots and dill in a bath, and......

one leek!

Hoping to plant parsnips and beetroot this weekend.

Yesterday was such a nice day I got my strawberry plants all sorted out and repotted / fed...I got one deepbed topped up with compost and fed with bone meal.

Then today its wet and windy again, so I may start sowing some seeds, its getting near time...

Cheers

 :)
Best Regards,
