Mine ar not up to scratch I'm afraid -- they seem to be ripening off at a modest size of about ten/twelve inches across.

i didnt know about the sunflower competition untill too late , i was just having some fun with my kids to see whos would grow  the tallest , they are all coming up for 9ft .
thats looking very good ice , im off to give mine a good talking to  :(
There's always next year for the sunflower competition.    :)

I can't see me winning a size prize for a pumpkin, its my first go at growing them and I'm a lot further north than most of you, but I have got one fruit so far, about the size of a golfball yesterday when I found it. :)

Better than me argyllie, I'ev two plants on the compost heap with very little growth and still not flowers out.  Slug food anyone?   ::)
