I grew purple prince last year after reading on here how good they were as cut flowers and they were lovely.  Good strong straight stems and they lasted well in water.

Down side, they really hated wet weather and lots of the buds rotted before opening. I sowed the first lot in the ground but not one come up so did another sowing in the greenhouse and had better results.

In the dry warm weather they are great

I'm trying some other Zinnia varieties this year. :)

I've grown zinnias in previous years (can't remember which names) but they're lovely. I too now start them off in the greenhouse as they were a bit hit and miss when directly sown. I've got Purple Prince for this year as they sound so good.

I grew Zinnia "Dahlia Mix" last year. They were lovely, a great mix of incredibly vibrant shades of mainly pink and orange. A real eyecatching display. :)
