Title: Home-hatched copper-blue Marans eggs

Hi :)  some of you may remember that last year I hatched some copper-blue Marans eggs.

After a very, very long wait, my hen has finally started laying (with a supermarket egg for comparison ;) )

They are fab.

I made the mistake of telling my daughter (who is old enough to know better) that Marans lay chocolate brown eggs.
For a split second she got very excited then the penny dropped.
