Cocopeat?
« on: October 23, 2009, 08:40 »
Hi Everyone
Just had a leaflet given to me selling off used Cocopeat, previously used for tomatoes in slabs.
This has been bagged and advises using it on the garden, particularly good, it says, for breaking down clay soils.
Anyone had any experience ? It seems quite cheep to buy. We have clay soil so tempting.

I understand that it makes an excellent soil improver.
However, there are some (minor) considerations that one needs to be aware of and I suggest that you pop 'CocoPeat' into your preferred search engine and have a quick read.
If you can trust the source and assuming that the price is reasonable then I'd go for it.

The successes and failures of each year keep me motivated for the following year.
