Cauliflower problem

Cauliflower problem

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me why my cauli curds have turned pink please, and would it be ok to eat them?

This can be caused by too much sun and they should be fine to eat. You can prevent it happening by blanching i.e. pull the leaves up around the top and fix them to protect the curds from too much light.

yes same answer, tie the leaves around them so no light gets in  gl

Have just harvested 3 of them to have with our Sunday roast, will report back when we've had them.

I'm a bit late on this but it might help someone else.

I find clothes pegs good for holding the leaves over the curds without causing damage and you can easily have a sneaky peek.
