 Just lifted last of my red cabbage (probably a bit late but done now).

Should I remove the root system from the bed or leave them in and allow them to rot over the winter?

the stump needs to be removed but any smaller roots will rot away

I always take the roots out and take them home and put them in the rubbish bin just in case there is any chance of them being infected with club root.

I compost mine after giving them a good bashing with my hatchet
