Thinking of making slider with sloes from making sloe gin, mixed with cider.
Anyone ever done this? If so, do you recommend still scrumpy cider or supermarket Strongbow, Merrydown or similar.
Merrydown... There's a drink from the dim and distant past... Oh that first hangover!

Not really to my taste but yes i have made it. As strong and dry as possible is good as there will be sugar enough from the sloes.
Does not take long as you are only flavouring the cider, a couple of weeks if i remember right.
I would rather have the Merrydown on its own! :D

Never heard of a slider, but have a bit of home made sloe gin! O maybe worth a try!

Made some year before last (couldn't find any sloes last year for love nor money) - just used cheap(ish) dry cider from the supermarket - worked a treat. Will be doing it again (sloe sourcing permitting)
