we are potting on Antirrhinums I'd like to ask the Q' do we need to pinch out the growing tip to encourage bigger blooms for bedding types and at what stage ?

I pinch mine out when they have about six sets of proper leaves, and they bush out nicely.

Just to add... I usually keep them for a couple of years by deadheading regularly: last year's plants (which are in the ground on the plot) have good healthy growth from the base of the stems
