They are just so beautiful and growing so quickly! They'll be eating you out of house and home shortly, if they're not already.  ::)

They are

My biggest challenge at the moment is drying Bessie off! I've always done it gradually and had no problem but Bessie just keeps making milk. She's down to feeding once a day now but today I had to let her in to the pups early as she was leaking all over the kitchen floor. I have done the usual, in restricting her fluid intake and also her feed as she has fed them less.

If anyone has any tips they will be very welcome.  :)

Thank you for that ANHBUC ...... really interesting reading, especially the parsley! She is such a good mum that even after 6 weeks she has never uttered a hint of protest at the greedy gang attacking her.  :)

I have read that it is in their genes for the good milk production so her offspring should have the same trait.  :)

I have more or less decided not to kegs, tempting though it is at this age.  :)

Despite two new knees last year I realise I am not going to walk the miles required by a young dog so for that reason I will probably just keep Bessie. Shame really because I'm sure Bessie would love it.

The gang is currently charging around the yard, getting in the borders and squashing the emerging bulbs  ::)

you can't beat labs for energy and destruction can you? i have a 12 year old black one at my feet crying because she hasn't had her walk yet. so even though you said you had 2 new knees thrift i really don't blame you for just keeping bessie.

Think they will all get snapped up really quickly once at the rehoming centres Thrift.  The rspca check on the new owners to make sure they are coping and that they are well looked after.  If they can't manage or are not looking after them they take them back.   :)

The one on the right hand side in the tug-o-war is keeping a close eye on the camera. :D
