Pepper Problem
« on: July 16, 2010, 20:44 »
Hi I am new to the forum and have an issue with a pepper plant which I am growing for the first time. So far, although many flowers have formed only one fruit is starting to grow. Some of the flowers are now dropping off. What should I do to get more fruit to grow.

Some growers advocate taking off the first few flowers to encourage a flush, so I wouldnt worry too much.

Now get buzzing  :D

Misting them can help the fruit to set

I've been giving the stems of my tomatoes and peppers a tap every now and again to pollenate them as advised on here or possibly in a book and it seems to be working. :)

I've been given a minibel too from someone on freecycle and got about three peppers on the plant so far  :) They are green and look healthy but the leaves on the plant are all going yellow in the veins and then they drop off

Does anyone know what I need to do to save it?

I suspect there's a nutrient deficiency there, nipper31.  Try watering with a bit of epsom salts
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
