Title: moving eggs from the incubator to the broody hen??

Hi
When i bought my hatching eggs to put in the incubator i did not have any broody hens,but now 7 days later i have a broody hen a silkie  a new hen to me and first time broody,i have candled the eggs they are all fertile do i put them under her and rist it?.
i have always hatched in the incubator as i have never had a broody hen before, do i risk it?.
  i have hatched many eggs over 20 years with very good results this is different for me.

I would; wait till she's off for daily ablutions etc. and switch them then with whatever she's sitting on now. It is a risk, but she'll do all the work for you, and you won't have to worry about power or mechanical or thermostat failures :) Having a broody with chicks is the best part of chicken keeping for me.
