Fireworks
« on: November 09, 2014, 23:03 »
I have 3 Collumbian blacktails, had them since 16th May. They started laying about 2 weeks later. I keep them in an Eglu go with a 2 metre run and let them free range in the garden every afternoon.
I was worried about the fireworks but it does not seem to have bothered them too much. We had a couple of days with just one or two eggs but now we are back to 3 most days. My birds were 18 - 20 weeks we were told when we had them and they are still as nice today as they day we had them.
I use a natural wormer for 3 days in their water in the middle of the month and Apple Cider Vinegar again in their water once or twice per week, but never at the same time.
Treats are grapes, blueberries and mixed corn.
I never thought that 3 hens could bring me so much pleasure. :D
rip Sandy, rip Beryl, Henrietta

Know what would be nice in your garden, a few hens lol
