Easiest way to worm?
« on: August 17, 2010, 10:44 »
Hi
I have got my girls settled now and I want to worm them. What I would like is advice on what form of worming etc is the easiest to administer etc. I probably want verm x but should I go for pellets or liquid or is Flubenvet the easiest to use. Any tips on how to make sure they get their dose would be welcome too.
Also they got louse powder put on them when I got them but what other products should I now get for them, and when and how should I use poultry shield?
Many Thanks
 :)

Verm x will not get rid of worms even when asked the company never replies to how it is supposed to work. Please use flubenvet, it is very easy to use - all you have to do is measure 2kg out and mix in 1 spoon (included in the pack) into it. Feed them this feed only for 7 days, if you run out mix some more up.
Don't waste your money on mite/louse powder but buy diatom - not expensive and it works  :). I only do the insides of my coups about 4 times a year max with poultry shield (not done it that much this year and got redmite for the first time ever ) but others do theirs at least monthly.
Staffies are softer than you think.
