Aloe - goodbye?!
« on: April 11, 2010, 09:50 »
The aloe thats been sat on our windowsill has been happily growing away now for about a year, new shoots, looking really good, but in the last 3 weeks has started to take a brown tinge and the end of the leaves are shrivelling up. Weve been dead careful with it, (and I know this sounds obvious!!) but could it possibly be underwatered? Any sugestions appreciated!!

In the wild their roots would go very deep and survive nicely. If they're in pots, they can definitely be too dried out. So, yes, do water them on a regular basis, like once every few weeks and they'll be happy. A drop of liquid fertilizer in the watering can would help too.
