They are said to be very sweet with a honey aftertaste.

Are they absolutely ripe ?

Looking at them online.
They look to be a yellow - orange tomato.
My Golden sunrise start bright yellow quickly, but are only ripe when they turn to a yellow/orange colour.
Hence the name.
Much as yours, they are bitter at the yellow stage.
Have grown similar cheery ones in the past like sungold and much the same are only fully ripe when orange.

i have six plants two are bitter one a bit and three not to bad, i was on hoilday for three weeks and my friend look after them but when i got back they where full of white fly i had to get new bags as the old one where full of white fly and the plant look bad to be honest.

I have red and yellow/orange tomato's in my garden

Red ones are money maker, yellow/orange ones are sun gold

I have some called pear drops, but they havent ripened yet

Only the green unripe ones might be a little bitter, I but I leave thenm until they are ripe
