chicken mesh
« on: August 28, 2008, 00:26 »
I have read on here numerous peeps mentioning that a fox can get through standard chicken mesh/wire.

I have searched the net for this and drew a blank

Does anyone have any evidence of this.

IMO it would take a big fox to rip through chicken wire.

I do know that with age it deteriorates and becomes more brittle and wondered if this is when foxy gets in.

I have jack. I had a cock in what I thought was a very secure pen. This bird had won numerous classes. It was snatched off its perch and the fox quite literally grabbed it through the wire after making a hole sufficiently large enough through chicken netting that had only been fitted a couple of months earlier.
