Compost Bins
« on: March 21, 2007, 02:21 »
Just found this online...Thought it might be useful for anyone looking for cheap compost bins...They run this in conjunction with local authorities and so the bins are heavily subsidised
I've ordered mine!

Recyclenow have just introduced the cheap compost bins into our area, but I don't need one now, OH has at last made my pallet compost bins that he has been promising me for ages.

I think Howard's dead Shaun, he's just gone to pieces all over the place!!!!

At the moment, we are putting most of the old compost heap out the front, in an odd bit of garden that we are covering with terram, where hopefully we'll have the money soon to fill with stones so we do't have to mow the grass that was there (I know, its a terrible waste of old compost, but OH wanted it out of the way as he wants to grass the area where the compost was and I haven't got anywhere else to put it at the moment.  I'd rather be growing cabbages in it but.......)  Then he's going to build another shed and hopefully get some turkeys for Christmas, but we've been here nearly 5 years and no turkeys in sight yet, so......

But it does look much better down the back where the new bins are, he just needs to tidy up all the old chook feed and water containers and get the other nursery trolley repaired and painted, and possibly sold, as I only really need the one.  they were 2 for a fiver, so we haven't done badly.

Then maybe he can carry on with the patio which is only a quarter done!!!!

Men - they can be such lazy so and sos, can't they?
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

That doesn't always work leeky, he just comes over and says you're not doing that right, and if I say well you do it properly then, he says I'll go and make a cup of coffee shall I????
