Once saw a greenhouse made out of them in Ukraine.  The chap cut the top off each one so that another would fit into it, built them up like that into columns, held the columns together in a frame to make panels, and built the panels up into walls.  Very impressive.  About a thousand bottles.

This is a link of how to make a greenhouse out of pop bottles

I don't think I could drink enough lemonade to make this:

I use pop bottles filled with water like bricks to hold plastic sheeting down

You can use them to water plants that prefer to be watered from the bottom up rather than the top down!  Cucumbers work well with this method.  Cut the top off, put the lid end (without the lid!) into the soil so that it will be under the roots, leaving the big end still exposed above the soil then water through that.

In quantity and filled with water, if you place them in a sunny position, they'll slowly release their heat during evening.

I remember seeing that Ukrainian greenhouse. It really was impressive.

There are some great ideas there!  I would go for the greenhouse idea, only that I have a stack of old teak windows marked down for that!   :)

Apparently if you cut the bottom off each one, stack them, run a hose through them, and snake them around the garden they act like a solar water heater.

You have to be careful with this one IF we get a hot summer ( sometime soon would be nice please)  the water in the hose can get very hot.
Hot enough to kill the plants you are waterinng. I know... i've done it

alternative use for plastic bottles

You could always try making guttering out of the bottles, for shed etc. Cut in half and cut bottoms off, connect together and make a down pipe with whole bottles with bottoms cut off, leading into a water but/tank. Diane

You could always make a cold frame, a cloche or a mini-greenhouse to go inside a greenhouse for that extra frost protection if you have no heat. If you filled them with water and somehow made a panel of them and wrapped them in black plastic, could they store enough heat to help with frost protection or even be turned into some sort of heated propagator?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I cut the tops off and use to put strawberry cutting in to give away these I make drainage holes in, or for starting off seeds in.  they are also the dogs fave toy and For young grandson I put stones in bottom and lid tight back on and grandson loves it as a noisy toy.

I meant use the bottoms after cutting top off.

I cut the bottom off one and keep it in the wild birdseed feed bag, then pour seed from scoop into the upturned bottle, put thumb over the little hole and carry it to my birdfeeder where it pours in without spilling any.

Also the springers loon around the garden with them.
