Potatoes
« on: April 13, 2008, 21:55 »
About to put in some early-ish spuds. Seem to remember reading that I culd dig over the soil, add some grass cuttings, place tubers and then cover up with soil to 3 inches. Would the grass produce too much heat?
Also if the kitchen waste compost is still a bit sloppy could that be added?
Thanks for any tips.

put a thin layer of grass cuttings in the tench BEFORE you place the potatoes in the trench , they help to keep in the moisture , also the potatoes want to be about 6 inches under the soil
