I have been using a granular feed especially for roses but it's not cheap, so am wondering if Q4 would do the same job as I have a bucket of that for my veg and herbaceous plants.

You need to compare the NPK ratio which will be on the label of each type of fertiliser.

Vitax Q4 has, I think, a ratio of  5.3 - 7.5 - 10 + Trace Elements
Rose food varies from a level 7 - 7 - 7, to perhaps 10:12:24 (Chempak Rose Food).

I think the Q4 would be OK - its ratio is increasing upwards through NPK.

Think I'm going for some more Vitax Q4 so there are less different fertilizers to buy then sort through when I'm adding them.
