Title: What age can chicks be mixed with other chicks with no bother?

When our chicks eventually get sexed, if my friend who had the other half of the hatched chicks has too many hens, she will be passing the extras to me if I end up not having enough hens. Not sure when this will happen as of course we have to let mother nature let us know. Is there a cut off date, if it can be done at all, that they can just be put in together. There are lots of posts that mention older chickens having to get used to each other but wondered if chicks would be different.
Also if we both end up with not enough hens, some more were hatched on Saturday, so there would be approx 3 weeks difference so that would mean approx 9 week olds mixing with 6 week olds( sexing permitting). I know I am thinking ahead but potentially the first lot could be sexed in a couple of weeks
