Try to think back to when she stopped laying, did she have a fright or could there have been a predator around? Was there a disruption to their routine, things like this I believe can also stop them laying.

hi many thanks for your reply,

 thinking back we introduced one new light sussex but, she was laying for months after this. as for a fright nothing that i can rember, our garden has really high walls and total enclosed.

if any of these was the case would it stop here laying for so long? she seems happy

My sister got 2 araucanas (sp?) last June and was advised that they were regular layers as they were pol's.  One of the girls did lay almost as soon as she arrived, the other didn't start laying until March of this year.  She was moulting a bit when she arrived but was otherwise happy and healthy and ate the same as the other girls.  My sister had all but given up on her ever laying but she is such a pretty character.
