hi i'm new to this web site

we have been keeping chickens for 2 years  most of our birds are 2 years +, we have 12 birds we normaly get between 9-11 eggs aday but over the last 2 weeks we have dropped down to 3-4 eggs a day.

please can any one shed some light on this as our book dont say any thing about hens not laying

You dont say what your girls are fed on or if they have many treats.
At the moment i have 12 chickens and only get 1 egg a day. It could be the weather, If they are broody or moulting they wont lay. But chickens never stop amazing me once you think you have got something sorted they do something else to surprise you. Thats why i love them.
