Title: Elderberry Port query
Post by: grinling on July 29, 2013, 22:36
My book says to use port yeast and nutrient.... does this mean I could use the wine nutrient I have with a sachet of port yeast?
Thank you

I can't see why not, nutrient is what it is.
You only need port whine yeast if you intend to fortify the wine after fermentation.  Its just more able to withstand the wide fluctuations when you fortify.  It still will die though as you can't ferment to to high a value.
