Title: Our JRT puppy
Post by: Green man on January 13, 2014, 12:36
Our Jack Russel bitch has pupped for the first time on Nov 5th last. She only had 1 pup when we was thinking she would have more. But no she and the male dog.

mind you the dog has got only got one , of whitch he should have had 2 of. we let her go after 9 weeks she was a little bitch to. My 9 year old son wanted to keep her but we have 3 dogs already, so we just could'nt keep her.

It was roxys 1st lot of pups she is 3 years old and Bruno is 18mths old was he toyoung or what could have happened so she only had the 1.

A bitch will only produce puppies with the eggs she has at the time of mating.  If she was mated too late or too early in her season, she may have had only one egg viable.
