Can't wait to get to the plot and see if the carrots and parsnips are through, there were one or two carrots showing yesterday, so hope the rest will follow soon, bring on the rain, I can find plenty to do in the greenhouse and listen to the delightful pitter patter on the roof.

rain? whats rain?  We have been cloudy and overcast here for at least a week and not a drop of water any where.  was promised rain yesterday and today but no sign of it yet even though the clouds last night looked fit to explode and give a torrential downpour.  It's dry as dust so am off to friends allotment to check if everything still lives or needs some bottled tap water (no water on site at the mo).

nice constant heavy drizzle here in the south east - just right,  nice and constant but not too leavy as to damage my tender little plants!

Had small showers, that has just dampened the surface, will still have to water later, if there is no more rain, but very windy, the grass has perked up a bit at the lottie, but the wind whipping up from the sea, has made allotmenting a bit tiresome today. Have called it quits for today
