If you cross Light Sussex and Partridge Wyandotte bantam what do you get?

Meet Lottys new addition.  The naughty Light Sussex bantams must have been fertile at only 14/15 weeks old.  Only one hatched out of 7 eggs, some were not fertile and some developed to different stages from 5 to 19 days.   :(

Can't wait to see what it will feather up like.   :D

Just hope it will be a hen as all 5 LS bantams were cockerels.   ::)

Well she (fingers crossed) is looking like a Wyandotte shape wise and the colouring is Light Sussex.  The dark feathers do seem to have the partridge markings so am really looking forward to seeing the adult feathering.

Definately got the little round hen wyandotte thing going on  :)  What a pretty little chick and will be a bonus if the partridge markings do show on her (let's think positive  :D )

She has a little comb which is really pink when I pick her up which might not be a good sign.  Never had Wyandotte bantam chicks so have nothing to compare her to.

I had a chocolate one who turned out to be a boy and had to be swapped - here's some pics of him.

Newly arrived and just off heat

Couple of weeks on - in hindsight the legs were chunky  ::)

Now holding himself a bit more like a boy and the comb was really quite red - although the breeder at this stage was still saying he was a girl

Just before he went back - the breeder agreed at this point he was most certainly male  :)

Oh dear, that does not bode well for mine.  If it were a Partridge I would be able to tell from the feathering but not crossed with a Light Sussex.  Will just have to wait and see (egg) or hear (crow)!   ::)  It will be a shame if it is a boy but I will let him in with my other Wyandotte bantam hen so he will have some fun before his departure.

Just took some close ups so any ideas on female or male?

The comb is not as red normally, just when I pick her up.
