there is a thread for classified ads etc or if you use the fleabay site you could search with the filter set for nearest to you to find suppliers close enough to visit....... or try the swap shop thread if you have anything to trade, good luck!

What are you looking to hatch?

It is pretty late in the season to be hatching anything really. If you put in hens eggs you will get your chicks in Nov. They need to be under heat in normal circumstances for about 5-6 weeks which will take you to Jan and even if we have a mild winter it will be far too cold for them to go out then so you need somewhere warm and sheltered for them to stay until they are mature enough and it is warm enough for them to go out. Late hatches also have an anecdotal reputation for a slightly higher percentage of males.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

If you are desperate to hatch then maybe try some quail as they feather up really fast and are off heat in around 4 weeks even in winter..... also are hardy enough to go outside at around 6/8 weeks unless its freezing :)

That way at least you can test your bator.... ;)

I do know where you can get quail eggs from :)
I love Pekins, Polands and Seramas :) and eggs!!!
