Hi it's my first year growing them and I want to know when they are pulled. Here are mine today

You need to look under the leaves at what is in the soil. I pull mine between golf and tennis ball size depending on what i want them for.

Too large and they go horrible and woody.
Will be checking mine tonight, i need a beetroot sandwich.

my beetroot have been rubbish this year, will be buying some more seed and trying again the weekend

They push their shoulders out of the soil when they are getting bigger and you can guess (sometimes) what size they are.  Experience tells, after a while you get better at it but I still pull what I think is a whopper to find it is the size of a ping-pong ball.

i would gently dig around and see what size it is since if u pull it out its hard to palnt back....its jsut depends on what size u like

Need to check the size.  I have lots of big leaves but small beetroot.  I have some organic veg feed and wondering should I give them a boost
