spinach gone to seed

hi ya

me spinach has gone to seed can it still be eaten or has it had it, i no its been a bad year allround for most of us, i am just trying to salvage what i can............pete

You can eat it cooked but it won't be good for salad.

This is the main reason why I grow perpetual spinach. Although it tastes slightly different it will stay in over the winter and crop again in the spring.
If it starts sending out flower stalks I cut them right back and it keeps producing. Same with Swiss Chard.

Still makes a darn good spinach and ricotta canneloni
