Fitting out the inside of an allotment shed.
« on: October 15, 2010, 23:15 »
My shed's a mess, I noticed a pic somewhere of the inside of a shed with nice shelves, tools hung on the walls etc. I've decided to give it a go in my modest 8' by 6' shed. At the moment I've a wall paper table (I've forgotten what they're called) in there which takes up a lot of room. Does anyone have any tips for storing things in a shed or design features to save space?  Thanks for any replies.

You could hang the wall paper table flat against the roof of the shed, you don't use it all the time and it would get it off the floor. ;)

Wilkinsons do lots of good things for storage in sheds - Tool hanging hooks; shelving units; tubs and boxes

Hells bells, Wilcos is the bizz... I have to ration my visits.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

So do I  :D

I was in a workshop the other day looking at worktop off-cuts, just the thing for the lotty shed. I've got one obviously but was thinking of you Muddy  :D  Get yourself to your nearest kitchen centre and ask to see theirs  :)   On my lotty worktop I've got my tea making stuff, cutlery, pots and pans and tins with soups and crackers in etc

Freecycle is a good place for shed things too  :)

Our Jamie Butterworth has a lovely tidy shed!

I recently gave away loads of long bits of mdf window board on freecycle to a chap who was fitting shelves into his OH's new shed, plus a bit of worktop too!

This is my shed on its good days until I need to keep chicken feed in there!

Everything in there I either already had, or rescued from the skip where I used to work!
