Still no eggs?

We haven't had any eggs from our chooks since the end of October / November, Should I be worried?

Never though we would be without eggs this long........  :blink:

We've had to buy them.  :(  :blush:

Depends on what sort of chicken you have and how old they are.

We have 22 hens left, all hybrids.  8 of them are 18 months old, the others are over 3.  We were only getting 4-6 eggs through the winter, but now we are back up to 12-16 a day

Pure breeds may not start to lay again until end Feb/March

We have 3 welsummers, and 3 mixed hybrids.

Finally found the 'eggs - lack of' link, so I'm a bit relived, guess we'll just have to wait a bit longer... ::)

Our ex batts all moulted in Nov/Dec and Jan so we haven't had eggs for ages either. I then lost 2 chooks over winter but my 1 remaining hen has just started to lay again.

Mine all stopped laying before Christmas  as they were moulting. Then my Cream Legbar started relaying in January followed by the other four (Im not sure my Ancona will ever lay again but I am hopeful and will keep her anyway)  Then last week Sugar, the Crean Legbar stopped laying so Im not sure what is going on with her. So at the moment I have four out of six laying mostly one a day.

Depends on age. If free ranging check under bushes etc just in case.
