Oh yuk!  I think that's a case of -' if its revolting it must be good for you' philosophy...

The Japanese make lovely eggy things - gently beaten with some sugar then fried a bit at a time in thin layers then folded in pan to build layers and cut up to look like eggy mille feuille and eaten with a bit of soy sauce.  Tasty!

Oh dear... I like mine boiled, poached, fried or scrambled... Does anyone have any advice on how to cope with a split personality?!!

my favourite way is poached (yes I am out going and love music with a beat - rock and roll, rockabilly and the Rolling Stones) so it sums me up perfectly, however I am also very disorganised which is why I have just boiled a dozen eggs to make my pickled eggs  :D

Thank goodness nobody has mentioned a Prairie Oyster so far...

http://www.esquire.com/drinks/prairie-oyster-drink-recipe

I just did...

Have you tried that before growster?  I've eaten raw eggs in smoothies and cracked them into Carbonara but I've never shot a raw one.  I guess it would be texture that is most off-putting, like oysters.

I actually meant that I'd 'mentioned' it Damoot, not tried one...

In fact, just to bore you, there is a way to eat oysters which I tried, and they really ain't half bad at all...

You take just one bite before you swallow the thing whole, and believe me, they are pretty damn moreish after that!

Oysters are lovely, raw or cooked. :D

Eggs, usually scrambled (check) or omelette/frittata and I wouldn't call us particularly tidy....  :nowink:

Oh I just adore oysters but have developed an allergy to them thanks to my mother

She bought me some back from Norfolk as a treat after her summer holiday

In a cold box with ice blocks???
No on the parcel shelf of her car

I have never been so ill. When I pointed this out to her and inquired as to the method of transport for the said oysters she said they were wrapped in plenty of newspaper on the parcel shelf:wacko:

She could have  killed me and has left me with an allergy to the most wonderful seafood going.  :( >:(

And I  like eating my eggs as mayonaise and quiches wonder what catagory that puts me in ???

Oh Mrs B - emotional baggage!

WildW - speaking of social class - when they visit my customers opt for earl grey tea and but mega posh ones all prefer PG tips!

Speaking of posh food, scrambled eggs are very nice with spring onion and smoked salmon mixed in.  Had it as a starter once and now its a treat spead onto toast. Spead a bit and bite - keeps the toast nice and crisp!
