NMary I was thinking of you today and wondering if your eggcup floweth over, obviously not. Now I have decided this is good news as the longer you wait the more you will enjoy your first egg (hopefully). Also, as your hens are late starters they will lay for longer than you expected. All positive stuff don't you think, you are sooo lucky? We should guess the date and time of your first egg - 15th September @ 9.32 AM. Sorry I didn't mention the year

I even bought some artificial ones and put them in strategic places to try and give them the idea. All they did was cover them up with straw, no doubt they were making the girls feel guilty!

Im getting used to supermarket eggs now, how sad is that!

When mine go off lay OH stomps around saying 'right no treats till you lay something'.  Then he caves in and they just hoover down whatever then walk off practically blowing raspberries.............they feel no guilt chickens

How old are your girls Mary?  I had an email from a lady who bought 5 of our hybrids at 14 weeks.  they are now 25 weeks and STILL not laying!
