Yes, nowadays, it's thought that Stonehenge was mainly used for Winter Solstice celebrations. A big party roasting lots of pork joints and lots of drinking of course  :lol: Sounds like fun  :)

Every year I wait for this day - I hate the cold, dark, dismal winter days. I don't mind if they're cold, but bright so that we can wrap up warm and get outside for a while.  I keep looking to see the first signs of the flowers on the winter flowering honeysuckle shrub, then the very early crocus, shortly followed by the snowdrops and before you know it, Spring it here!

Hmm. Depends on your view and if it falls on your birthday rather than being put off till the day after.
